Lucky Me: My First Cartoon

Lucky Me
My first cartoon
On my first year of studying animation in Portugal, my first year of course was designed to make the students learn all the basics and programs to be able to creat a simple small animation with the theme of "pirates". So it was when i created my first ever cartoon called"Lucky Me".
The  plot for the cartoon project was about two buddy pirates that would travel all over the sea looking for a secret pirate treasure and also by avoinding a giant monster.
It was already simple enough, and with what i learned in classes i started by the basics, and my first steps were the character dsigns and scenarios.
Right after this step was done, i went right into the storyboard, coming up with the ideas and the scenarions i wanted to each scene made me sure that what i put in the storyboard would be a very close look of how the final scene would look like, sometimes the storyboard pages being even more well done that the scenes itself.
With the classes i had to learn a bit of Adobe Animate and after effects, i was able to animate each scene of my cartoon. Due to the time limit and the excess of classes i could only be able to do a more easy slide animations, with only very small parts  of frame by frame animation.
Even with the small amount of time to finish the animation, i still managed to have a recording session to put voices into my characters giving them more life.
Finished Cartoon Relased in 2018
And that was my very first cartoon ever made, and till today is still one of the projects i´m most proud of.
